  • Barnacle Ben's - Outstanding seafood; best crabcakes. Located in Acme strip mall at intersection of Lenola Road and Kings Hwy.
  • Outback Steakhouse, Rte. 38 -- Cherry Hill (not open for lunch)

  • Prospector's - (formerly Hide-Out.) Outstanding salad bar; good variety. Located at Rt. 38 at Ark Rd.

  • Friendly's Restaurant, Rt. 130, Cinnaminson. Several Friendly's in the area, but this is Dave's favorite.

  • Red Lion Inn - Homemade Pasta (closed Mondays). Located on Red Lion Rd near Rt. 70 & 206 Circle, Medford, NJ, 859-9813.

  South Jersey is famous for its diners, but quality varies widely.
  • Olgas - Long-time area favorite; good bakery. Located at intersection of Rts. 70 and 73, Marlton.
  • Sage - Reliable fare; relatively close to plant on Rt. 73 (south of Turnpike exit), Mt. Laurel.
  • Dynasty - Reliable fare; family-operated for many years. Located at Rt. 130, Riverside.
  • Mastoris - One of the best in New Jersey. Great food; extensive menu. Located at the convergence of Rts. 206 and 130, just this side of Trenton (approx. 1/2-hour on 130-N).

  "Cheese steaks are truly a Philadelphia-area experience.
  • Giovanni's Ristorante - Located on Rt. 73 in a small strip-mall, opposite Sage Diner.
  • Flo's Lakeside - Located on the Rancocas Creek, just off Marne Hwy on the left, heading toward Mt. Holly. (Cheese steaks on linen tablecloths!)
  • Gaetano's - Located in strip mall on Rt. 38 in Mt. Laurel. Generous-sized sandwiches.
