A BSA Centennial Quality Unit
    Cub Scouting is fun and educational with program components for boys in the first through fifth grades. Grade specific Dens meet twice monthly for activities with boy's peers. Once a month, all of the Dens and family members gather for a Pack meeting under the direction of the Cubmaster and Pack Leaders. There are a variety of events and outings during the year. We welcome you to contact us for more information. Phone takes voicemail messages only.

    Scout Sunday - Our Lady of Good Counsel Feb 18, 2012

    All Scouts who are parishioners at OLGC are able to participate in our Scout Sunday Mass on Saturday evening at 6PM. Please have Scouts arrive at 5:30pm in class A uniform.

    Cub Scout Pack 44 February Pack Meeting - 'Honesty & Perseverance' - Mad Science Feb 23, 2012

    The Cub Scout value of telling the truth, being worthy of trust; sticking with something and not giving up, even if it is difficult. A celebration of all Cubs who do their best at the Pinewood Derby and throughout the year. Mad Science to present "Fire & Ice".

    Cub Scout Pack 44 Winter Camping Weekend Mar 02, 2012
    From: 6:00PM To: 11:00AM

    The Cub Scouts have reserved the warm & cozy Conference Center to make more room for 28 Cubs and adults at Scout Pinetree Camp in the Pine Barrens for a fun winter retreat. Friday evening through Sunday late morning (March 2-4th). As always, there will be plenty of chores and fun for all.

    Cub Scout Pack 44 'Blue and Gold' Awards Dinner Mar 16, 2012

    'Positive Attitude' - the value of being cheerful and setting our minds to look for the best in all situations. Pack 44 has been planning a fun Blue and Gold Dinner to recognize the achievements of all of our Scouts this year. It's our traditional Friday night. Boy Scout & guest presentations, and surprises. Webelos II 'bridge' over to Boy Scouts. Potluck dinner. The Pack will provide the drinks. As always, no peanuts, please. Come early to help set up.

    Cub Scout Pack 44 April Pack Meeting - 'Resourcefulness' - Hike Apr 19, 2012

    The Cub Scout core value of using human and other resources to their fullest.  A twi-light Pack hike at Palmyra Nature Cove lead by a Naturalist. Will be inside their Environmental Center in event of rain. For maps & directions, see their website. www.palmyracove.org Bring a flashlight & hiking boots or shoes.

    Council-wide over night camp out parent & son event, with outdoor fun and 300-400 persons attending. Bring your tents. Help is always provided and available to those new to camping. Sat.-Sun. April 28-29th.  The Pack will go to this event.

    Cub Scout Pack 44 BALOO Overnight Camping Training May 05, 2012

    A one-time only needed training course - Basic Outleader Leader Orientation (BALOO) - so the Pack can be taken by a leader on overnight camping. Contact Monmouth Council, BSA for location and details.

    CROP Walk 2012 May 06, 2012
    From: 1:00PM To: 5:00PM

    The Walk starts at FUMC. Registration 1:00 PM, start at 1:30 PM. CROP began in 1947 to help Midwest farm families to share their grain with hungry neighbors in post-World War II Europe and Asia. Operated by Church World Service, a cooperative of 36 denominations and communions. Refreshment stops at local churches.  Questions:

    The value of showing regard for the worth of something or someone: we meet at Mary E. Roberts Elementary School, 290 Crescent Avenue (off Colonial Ridge, across from Perkins Art Center), Moorestown. Park in school's front parking lot. Meet on playground on right side. Service Projects (and fun). Leave No Trace discussed and demonstrated.

    Cub Scout Pack 44 Memorial Day Observation May 28, 2012

    Each year Pack 44 is honored with the responsibility for the Pledge of Allegiance opening up the Memorial Day Ceremonies at Moorestown's Memorial Park on Church Street. Your scout should be in full Class A uniform for this event. Please arrive on time to help greet and give out programs.

    Spring Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills, Basic Adult Leadership Outdoor Orientation (BALOO), Outdoor Webelos Leader (OWL) Training, at Burlington County Council, Pinetree Camp. One day Saturday - done once, qualification does not expire. Trained leaders are required for overnight camping.

    Cub Scout Pack 44 Annual Picnic - 'Responsibility' Jun 03, 2012

    The value of fulfilling our duty to God, country, other people, and ourselves. Our annual picnic is at Sunnybrook Swim Club, with swimming, games and surprises planned.  Raingutter Regatta. Food and drinks supplied. Each Scout's family is encouraged to attend and Kindergarteners may now join Cub Scouting! We will need a head count. Let your Den Leader know. Last year the Miracle on the Hudson airplane came through - this year, who knows?

    Cub Scout Pack 44 Riversharks Stadium Campout ??? Jul 20, 2012
    From: 6:00PM To: 12:00AM

    You get a Riversharks baseball game against the York Revolution team, fireworks, light supper, pre-game march on the field in Class A uniform, a patch, movie on the big scoreboard with a snack, sleep overnight in the outfield in your tent, breakfast with coffee and field practice with the Riversharks in the morning. Who will take BALOO training so the Pack can go again this year?  This NJ Scout Night event usually sells out fast. FYI - Decision to attend pending.
